I have accidentally registered the wrong domain name. Can I get a refund?
If the domain was registered within 5 days*, it can be canceled with a full refund. Please note that this only applies to .com, org, .net and .info. .ME refunds must be requested within 24 hours**. Other domain extensions cannot be canceled with a refund. To cancel the registration, please send both a Trouble Ticket from inside the account and a fax to us. Make sure that we receive your request at least by the 4th day and that day is a business day. Trouble Ticket: Trouble Ticket System Fax: +1.888.564.7373 In the message, include your domain name, user name, and a brief explanation of why you want to cancel the registration. Once the registration is canceled, we will credit your account with the corresponding amount of Directnic Dollars. If the domain has been registered for more than 5 days, the registration cannot be deleted and there will be no refund. However, you can choose not to renew when the initial selected registration period is over. If it is a common misspelling or an easily made typo when entering your domain name, you may consider using Directnic's free redirection service to have the site point to the correct domain name. This way, if anyone else mistypes the name, they still will be brought to your site. * Cancellation requests received after 5:00 PM CST Friday may not be processed until 8:00 AM CST on Monday. ** If the cancellation notice is sent outside of business hours, we may not be able to obtain refunds from the .ME registry.See Also:
