I set mydomain.com and mail.mydomain.com as mail servers, but my mails bounced. Why?
You need to remove 'mydomain.com' as a mail server. Only keep mail.mydomain.com as your mail server. What's happening is that other mail servers attempt to send mail to the MX record with the lowest preference. Since it doesn't exist or is your web server, it's going to bounce. As long as mail.mydomain.com is your mail record, mail sent to yourdomain.com will go to your mail.mydomain.com. Your email addresses will still be whatever@mydomain.com.See Also:
