With the .XXX launch there are several different registration phases that you can take advantage of. The registration phases are primarily differentiated by (a) involvement in the adult community and (b) presence of an existing trademark.

The registration periods run as follows:

• The two sunrise periods (Sep 7th - Oct 28th, 2011):
• Sunrise A: Members of the online adult community can register an existing trademark as a .XXX domain, or register a .XXX based on an existing domain they own in a different TLD as long as the domain name was registered prior to February 2010.
• Sunrise B: Customers who do not wish to be a part of the Sponsored Community can defensively block their trademark from being registered as a .XXX
• Landrush (Nov 8th - Nov 25th): Customers can register premium domains with no associated trademark.
• General Availability (Dec 6th): Registrations from this point forward will be rewarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
