Why is my redirect not working?

There are many possible reasons why your redirect setting may not be working. Here are the most common causes and their fixes:

1) The domain is not using our Directnic Default nameservers (ns0.directnic.com, ns1.directnic.com, ns2.directnic.com, & ns3.directnic.com). 

Fix: Verify that the domain is using our Directnic Default nameservers. You can see this by going to the details page of the domain and scrolling down. On the bottom left side of the page in the Details box, you will see the words Name Server and an Edit link beside them. If you see a different set of nameservers there, simply change them by clicking this Edit link, selecting Directnic Defaults from the dropdown menu, then clicking Submit. Be advised that changes to Name Servers will need time to propagate and may take up to 24hrs to complete.

2) Your target destination server does not allow iframe redirects. 

Fix: Servers can solely determine if websites hosted on them can be reached via an iframe redirect. If they feel that they do not want to support iframe redirects, they can easily block them. The easiest way to resolve this is to simply change your selection from "Redirect using iframe" to "Redirect URL".

3) You have just properly setup redirect but it is still not displaying

Fix: If you have recently made that setup change, it is possible that the DNS change has not yet completed propagation or your browser is still retrieving cached (old) information. Simply make sure that you check after 24hrs of the change to allow the changes to properly propagate and to use a private browser so you will be viewing updated information.
