How to create an email account in cPanel

This demo assumes you've already logged in to cPanel, and are starting on the home screen.

  1. Click the Email Accounts as listed under Email (or click on Email on the top menu)
  2. Click the blue "CREATE" button on the top right
  3. Select a domain name for your new email address
  4. Select a username for your new email account but do not type the full email address here. Your email account's username is the first part of your new email address, before the @ sign (i.e. username@example.com).
  5. Set Optional Settings such as a mailbox quota for the account
  6. Then click Create button below to create your new email account.

That's it! The new email account has been successfully created.

From the Email Accounts screen, you can access webmail for the account and you can manage it (password, quota, etc). You can also use the Connect Devices button for instructions on how to set up your new email account in your favorite email software (IMAP/POP/SMTP).

You can also create additional email accounts.

This is the end of the tutorial. You now know how to create email accounts in cPanel.
