Is there a transfer lock after a change to domain contact information?

After making changes to the registrant contact information of your domain, a transfer lock is automatically applied for 60 days. This lock is in accordance with ICANN policy and serves to enhance the security of your domain.

Opting out of the Transfer Lock:

If you need to transfer your domain to another registrar before the 60-day period ends, you can opt-out of the transfer lock. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Navigate to the Security Settings section.
  3. Look for the "Domain Transfer Lock" option.
  4. Disable the transfer lock for your domain.

Important Note:
Keep in mind that it may take up to 48 hours for the transfer lock to be completely disabled after you've opted out.
