How does autorenew work?

The auto-renewal process differs for domain names and other services. For domain names, auto-renewals are initiated 45 days before the expiration date. On the other hand, other services undergo auto-renewals 15 days before they are set to expire.

If an auto-renewal attempt fails, we will promptly send you a notification to inform you about the situation and request that you renew the service manually. The most common reason for auto-renewal failure is an outdated payment method, such as an expired credit card. However, we will make another auto-renewal attempt on the expiration date to ensure that you don't lose your service due to a temporary issue.

Having Directnic credits as a backup option is advantageous for several reasons. In case your primary payment method fails, we will automatically use these credits to complete the auto-renewal process, preventing any interruption to your services. This backup option provides an extra layer of security and convenience, as you can rest assured that your services will continue to function even if your credit card information is outdated or unavailable at the time of auto-renewal.
