Can I change my username at a later date?
Changing Usernames and Alternative Solutions:
Can you change your username at a later date? Unfortunately, usernames cannot be changed.
However, you do have a couple of alternatives if you're looking to use a different username:
- Authorized User Accounts: You can create authorized user accounts under your profile. To do this, navigate to Account Info > Edit Profile (https://directnic.com/my/profile) and select "Authorized User" on the left.
- Moving Services to a New Account: Another option is to create a new account (https://directnic.com/account/signup) and transfer your services to the new account. We have a FAQ article that explains the process of moving domains between Directnic accounts: Moving Domains Between Accounts.
In the case of moving services, you would use the username for the new account and initiate the transfer from your current account. Both accounts will receive an email to approve the transfer.
