What is Direct Privacy?

Understanding Direct Privacy: Your Online Shield

ICANN Requirements: ICANN, the authority overseeing domain registrations, mandates that valid and real contact information must be associated with domain registrations. This information is made available in the WHOIS database, promoting transparency.

Your Privacy Solution: Direct Privacy is a service designed to help you maintain your anonymity in WHOIS lookups. It provides an alternative set of contact information, allowing you to keep your personal details private while complying with ICANN regulations.

Affordable Protection: Direct Privacy by Directnic is offered at an affordable rate of $5 per year per domain name. This service is automatically included during the checkout process for all domain registrations with Directnic.

Toggle with Ease: You have the flexibility to control whether Direct Privacy is applied to your domain purchases. You can enable or disable this feature in your account settings by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your Directnic Dashboard
  2. Hover over "Account Info" in the navigation bar
  3. From the drop-down menu, select "Edit Profile"
  4. Choose "Site Settings"
  5. Under "Automatically Add Privacy to Domain Purchases," select your preference
