Why are people getting a bounced message saying “Exceeded Mailbox Quota” when they send me email?

This error message means that your mailbox is full.

If you are checking mail via IMAP or webmail, you can simply delete messages from the inbox and delete the trash to free up space. If you are checking via POP, you will need to update your server settings to remove messages from the server, or log in to webmail and manually delete the messages.  For more information on updating these settings, please refer to your Email client’s help guide.
