How do I transfer a domain name to Directnic?

To transfer a domain name to Directnic, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Directnic Dashboard
  2. In the navigation bar, select Domains
  3. Click “Domain Transfer” in the drop-down menu: https://directnic.com/transfer
  4. Enter in your domain name  (required) and auth code (optional)
  5. Click “Start Transfer”
  6. Checkout

Once the transfer has been processed, an email will be sent to the Admin contact for the domain (Registrant if .EU), requesting approval of the transfer.    You will need to go to the URL specified in the email and enter the auth code for the domain name in order to complete the transfer.  If you do not have the auth code, contact the losing registrar and request that they create one for the domain.

The transfer process can take 3-10 days to complete.  Once the transfer is completed a year of registration will be added to the domain name, and it will become available in your Directnic account.
