How do I check the status of a pending transfer?

Domain transfers take 5 days to complete once the transfer request has been submitted. The easiest way to check on the status of domain transfer from inside your Directnic account is via the Transfer Manager page here

See the definitions below for each status.

Pending WHOIS Verification:

We have received your transfer request and are checking the current WHOIS information of the domain. We will soon send the transfer confirmation email to the administrative contact if the domain is in a transferable status.

Manual WHOIS Verification:

We could not obtain the detailed WHOIS information and have to manually check the registrar's site. We will soon send the transfer confirmation email to the administrative contact if the domain is in a transferable status.

Pending Data Verification:

We could not obtain any WHOIS information for the domain. The system will try again shortly.

Pending Email Notification:

We have verified the WHOIS information of the domain and will soon send the transfer confirmation email to the administrative contact.

Pending Ownership Approval:

We have sent the transfer confirmation email to the administrative contact of the domain as listed in WHOIS. Please confirm the transfer as soon as possible.

Pending Registry Submission:

We have received the transfer confirmation from the administrative contact of the domain and will send the transfer request to the current registrar of the domain soon.

Pending Registry Approval:

We have submitted the transfer request to the current registrar of the domain. Please contact your current registrar to make sure they will approve the domain transfer without delay.

Registrar Status:

The domain is in REGISTRAR-LOCK status with your current registrar, making it non-transferable. Please contact the current registrar in order to remove the registrar lock or to otherwise resolve the matter that has placed the domain in the current non-transferable status. We will keep the transfer request in this status for 5 days and will check the registrar status each day to see if it has changed. If it has not been changed after 5 days we will cancel the transfer and refund your account.

Completed:

The transfer has been completed and the domain is being or has been placed in your Directnic account.

Failed:

The transfer was not successful. The Directnic transfer system will automatically resubmit the transfer if the first request fails. We will credit the receiving account if the transfer fails again after the resubmission. The user can re-initiate the transfer when they receive the Directnic Credits credit.

Alternatively, you can also check the domain status via a WHOIS search here. Once a domain is in Pending Transfer status, the Registry prevents further changes to it until the transfer completes.
