How do I create a CSR?

In most cases, you will be able to automate generation, validation, installation, etc. via the AutoInstall SSL® plugin under the Security category in your cPanel® Hosting Console. The required CSR will be generated for you by the AutoInstall SSL® plugin.

If your hosting is at a different hosting provider, you can use the following tool to create a CSR and private key:

If your website is hosted at  Directnic you can also use your cPanel Hosting Console to generate a CSR for you.

  1. Login to your Directnic Hosting Console
  2. Find and click on SSL/TLS Manager
  3. Click on Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests
  4. In the Generate a New Certificate Signing Request section, enter the required information
  5. Click Generate button
