How do I create and manage DNSSEC Records?
How do I manage DNSSEC Records for my domain?
DNSSEC is an important security feature for the internet that protects against harmful changes to website addresses. It uses digital signatures to confirm that the information about a website's address is genuine and has not been tampered with. This makes the internet a safer place by guaranteeing that the information you receive about website addresses is both accurate and secure.
Using your Directnic account, you have the ability to manage DNSSEC records for .COM domains. However, you will need to reach out to your DNS Provider to generate your DS record. Directnic does not provide this service. Once you have the DS record, you can add it to your .COM domain.
In order to add or manage your DNSSEC records, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Directnic Dashboard
- Hover over the “My Services” section of the navigation bar
- From the drop-down menu select “Domains”
- Click on the domain name that you wish to manage the DNSSEC records for
- Under the “Services” section, select the “View” button to the right of DNSSEC Records:
- DNSSEC Records can be created and managed from this screen
